How to rethink an old and deep consumption habit?
This short article is about underlying what I think is relevant to how Amazon is looking at consumption of goods.
Being in a classic shop, we choose what we want to buy, then go to the cashier to pay for it.
For Amazon Go, the action of choosing/ordering and paying is the the same step. It is the evolution and transposition to the physical world of the "buy in 1 click" button from its website.
The action of paying is done directly when the customer chooses his products: no need to go to the cashier. So there no physical and intellectual step linked to the payment, and it is a game changer.
It is a seamless approach of consumption, when unnecessary steps are erased from the processes.
What about other fields where we could simplify processes?
